the break/s

Marc Bamuthi Joseph put on an amazing hip-hop show at the Walker on Sat. night. Entitled the break/s, the show was an assemblage of spoken word, movement and video; he was accompanied by an mc and a dj. I am still processing this intensely personal yet abstact work. More to come… This is from another of Marc Bamuthi Joseph’s shows, but it gives you an idea of his work.

Ok, so it wasn’t Dillinger.

Ok, so it wasn’t Dillinger. It was Frank Sinatra. Which is still pretty killer, but not as good as Dillinger. He is my new favorite criminal.
